Breathwork
Controlled breathing cycles and comfortable recovery.
Cold Exposure
Gradual, supervised and never forced.
Mindset
Patience, attention and consistency.
Breathing and Cold Water
Complete the breathing exercise sitting or lying down, well away from water. Allow breathing, awareness and balance to return completely to normal before considering cold exposure. While in cold water, breathe normally — never perform breath holds.
Gradual Cold Exposure — Optional
This must not run at the same time as the breathing session. Breathe normally throughout — never hold your breath in cold water.
- • Start with a beginner cool-shower introduction rather than a full cold plunge.
- • Progress gradually over weeks — never attempt a shock challenge.
- • Always have a buddy or supervision nearby, especially when starting out.
- • Warm up gradually afterwards with dry clothing, movement and a warm drink.
- • Breathe normally the entire time — never perform breath holds in water.
